Learn. Play. Grow. Excel.
We'll create the opportunity, you bring your passion. OneHeritage will be planning evening and weekend camps, clinics, leagues, shoot-arounds, and (potentially) travel tournament events through the summer, fall, and winter seasons to supplement current spring club programs for lacrosse players in Central Illinois. Our goal is to give local players and families opportunities to play... and do it at a reasonable cost.
Managed by former high school and collegiate players and coaches, OneHeritage events will be focused on skill development in the context competition for boys of all skills levels, 3rd grade through HS.

Mike is a co-founder of OneHeritage Lacrosse and brings over 10 years of lacrosse knowledge with him. Picked up his first lacrosse stick in 8th grade at a local resale shop and never looked back. He played for IHSA power-house Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL and went on to play for Robert Morris University in Chicago at the NAIA level.
While at RMU he was a 4-year Close Defenseman starter, earning NAIA All-Conference accolades and RMU Defensive Player of the Year his junior and senior years. After earning his B.A. from RMU in 2016 he set his sights on coaching. He spent a year as an Assistant Varsity Coach/Defensive Coordinator at Antioch/Lakes Co-Op where he helped the team during their inaugural season into Illinois sanctioned Lacrosse play in 2017.
After 1 year there he was hired as the new Assistant Coach for NCAA D3 school North Central College in Naperville, IL. He helped on the Defensive side of the ball and Recruiting aspects for North Central before being moved down to Bloomington-Normal area (for work) where he now assists the BN Warriors Lacrosse program at the Varsity Level. Coach Mike brings excitement and passion to his coaching style, and understands what it takes to play at the next level and looks forward to working with all future and current OneHeritage Lacrosse Players and members.
Steve has been involved in Lacrosse for over 30 years. Growing up outside of Baltimore, Maryland provided plenty of exposure to the sport. Like many young players he wasn’t initially sure where he wanted to focus his attention, he liked all of the positions. However, over time he realized that he enjoyed playing on the defensive side of the field more than any other position.
During college he played club lacrosse for three years until he suffered a torn ACL. This limited his ability to play competitive lacrosse, but it didn’t keep him away from the sport. He turned his attention to coaching. Through the years Steve has coached boy youth teams ranging from kindergarten to High School Varsity ages. Prior to coming to Bloomington, Steve coached in places like Salisbury, Maryland and Charlottesville, Virginia. Both known for being lacrosse towns.
2018 marked the 6th year that Steve has been coaching Warriors lacrosse. He and Coach Buelow have partnered each year in watching a core group of young men, including their sons, grow in their skills, character, and love of the sport.
Mike's 30 year lacrosse career includes experiences as a player and coach for youth, high school and college programs in different venues across the United States. A Virginia native, he cut his teeth in the South Suburban lacrosse leagues in Denver, Colorado in his younger years and played for four different college club programs (but he only attended one of them, long story) during his college career.
He has been involved with the B/N Warriors program as a coach for the past six years and has also coached in New York and Colorado. Mike remains focused on teaching and sharing his love for the game with the next generation of atheletes.
